Louisiana Real Estate License Requirements
Salesperson
Exam- Pre-license hours: 90
- Ninety hours of approved pre-license real estate education followed by the state and national portions of the licensing exam.
Broker

- Experience: Active salesperson experience plus broker-specific coursework.
Continuing education: 12 hours per renewal cycle.
Filing Complaints
LREC accepts written complaints from consumers and other licensees. The commission investigates, may convene a hearing panel, and can impose civil penalties, education, suspension, or revocation. Restitution may be ordered when a consumer suffered financial harm.

Transaction Coordinators in Louisiana
