Kentucky Real Estate License Requirements
Sales Associate
Exam- Pre-license hours: 96
- Ninety-six hours of approved pre-license education (typically delivered as six 16-hour courses) plus the state licensing exam.
Broker
Exam- Pre-license hours: 21
- Experience: At least two years of active sales associate experience within the prior three years, plus the broker pre-license course.
Continuing education: 6 hours per renewal cycle.
Filing Complaints
KREC accepts written complaints from consumers and licensees. Staff investigators review each complaint, and the commission may convene a formal hearing. Sanctions range from probation through license revocation, and the commission may also order restitution.
