Kansas Real Estate License Requirements
Salesperson
Exam- Pre-license hours: 60
- Thirty-hour Principles of Real Estate course plus a 30-hour Kansas Practice course; both must be completed before sitting for the licensing exam.
Broker
Exam- Pre-license hours: 24
- Experience: Two years of active salesperson experience plus additional broker-track coursework.
Continuing education: 12 hours per renewal cycle.
Filing Complaints
KREC accepts written complaints from consumers and licensees. Staff investigators review each complaint, and the commission may convene a formal hearing under the Kansas Administrative Procedure Act. Sanctions range from censure through license revocation.

Transaction Coordinators in Kansas
