Delete Your Account & Data

You can permanently delete your DocJacket account and personal data at any time. Here's exactly how, what gets deleted, and what we're required to keep.

This page applies to the DocJacket account you use across our website, web application, and mobile applications (iOS and Android). Deleting your account removes your access to the Services and deletes your personal data, subject to the limited legal retention described below. Deletion is requested from the web app or by email; whichever route you use, the same deletion process applies to your account everywhere.

How to delete your account

You can request deletion in any of the following ways. All of them result in the same deletion process.

1. In the web app

Sign in at app.docjacket.com, open Settings > Organization, and choose Delete workspace. Account owners only, since deleting the workspace removes it for everyone on the team.

2. Request deletion without signing in

If you can no longer access your account, email privacy@docjacket.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.” We may ask you to verify your identity before deleting the account to protect against unauthorized deletion requests.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we delete:

  • Your account and profile information (name, company, email, phone, login credentials)
  • Documents you uploaded and the data extracted from them
  • Transaction records, contacts, tasks, and related content you created
  • Connected email, calendar, and storage integration authorizations (access tokens are revoked)
  • Push-notification tokens and mobile device identifiers associated with your account

What may be retained, and why

Certain closed-transaction records may be retained where required by law or real estate record-keeping regulations (for example, records related to completed real estate transactions). These records are kept only for the legally required period and are then permanently deleted. We also retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Retained records are not used for any other purpose.

How long it takes

When you request deletion we schedule it and email the account owner a link to cancel. Your workspace is paused immediately, but nothing is deleted for 7 days— that window exists so a request made by mistake, or later regretted, can be undone. Use the link in that email to restore the workspace at any point before the deletion date.

After that, your account and its data are permanently erased from our production systems, and this cannot be undone. Encrypted backup copies are purged on a rolling 14-day cycle, after which no copy remains. Where we retain records for legal reasons, those records are deleted at the end of the applicable retention period.

Export your data first

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want a copy of your data, export it before you delete your account (Settings > Organization > Export my data), or request an export by emailing privacy@docjacket.com.
